Mold growth behind baseboard molding

It is very important to always remove the baseboard during water damage mitigation. If the base molding is not removed, the moisture behind the baseboard is trapped which can cause mold to grow. This basement had previous water damage; the restoration company installed equipment but did not remove the baseboard to dry the wall behind the baseboard. The previous restoration company didn't take the time to check to see if there was insulation behind the walls. What appeared to be a small water damage became a mold remediation project.
